SWIB promotes additional events when they are strongly related to our aims and of value to our members. For example, in 2009 SWIB members supported the Gude Cause March in Edinburgh.

Everywoman Scottish Conference 2010

Join everywoman in Glasgow on Tuesday 2 March 2010 at the everywoman Conference Scotland, with Liz Jackson MBE of Great Guns Marketing as the keynote speaker.

Everywoman is pulling together a programme which will help you drive your business forward. You will have the opportunity to hear winning ideas from inspirational speakers, attend masterclasses that will equip you with tips and techniques to plan for future growth and profit and of course network and share ideas with over 150 like-minded business owners.

Confirmed in January: one of the speakers will be Heather White of Smarter Networking. Heather will show you how to create a quick but effective networking strategy. You’ll also learn: the importance of trusted relationships; how to use your networking time without wasting money and how to work a room confidently and effectively to drive business results.

When you leave this session you’ll have learnt how to use your networking time and budget effectively and you’ll be ready to get out there, take action and raise your game

International Women's Day 2010

The Scottish Women’s Convention is holding their annual International Women's Day celebrations on Saturday 6 March 2010 in the Scottish Parliament.
 
The event will begin around 12.30p.m to allow for registration and lunch. Attendees will take their seats within the Debating Chamber at 2 p.m. to hear a variety of speakers, chaired by Trish Godman MSP, Deputy Presiding Officer . Afterwards there will be a small reception in the Garden Lobby of the Scottish Parliament which will offer the opportunity for networking. The event will close by 6.30pm.
