From the President
Welcome to Scottish Women in Business (SWIB) - the leading networking club for women professionals, managers and entrepreneurial decision-makers working in and around Glasgow.
As the current President of SWIB, I am responsible for ensuring that we have great events which offer members the opportunity to gain new business, to interact with like-minded individuals, collect new marketing strategies and ideas, listen to inspiring speakers - and somewhere to make new friends.
SWIB is part of the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB), which offers additional benefits for members, such as access to networking, knowledge sharing and mentoring opportunities across Scotland. Every year the ASB holds an annual conference, an awards ceremony and a work/life balance weekend, all of which SWIB members can access. We're delighted to be hosting this year's Conference and Awards Dinner in Glasgow in September.
SWIB News is used to keep our members up to date with relevant information about business, events and opportunities. Our web site has other features of value to our members:
- it can make networking easier using our members’ directory
- it publicises offers by SWIB members to SWIB members
- and of course it is the only way to join SWIB or to book our events!
SWIB is about forming connections - whether that leads to a new client, a new supplier, a new friendship or that bit of advice or experience you’ve been looking for. We're friendly, supportive and enthusiastic - as well as being business-like, of course.
