Logo of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce

Scottish Women in Business is a member of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce. This means that our members can sign up for Chamber events, training and so on at member rates (this is usually a considerable saving). If you would like to attend a Chamber event, please book as described on their website, but give your organisation name as Scottish Women in Business. Please remember that when you attend a Chamber event, you are doing so as a representative of Scottish Women in Business.

 SCDI logo

The Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI) is an independent membership network which strengthens Scotland's competitiveness by influencing Government policies to encourage sustainable economic prosperity. It holds regular events in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. You can find out more about SCDI at their web site: http://www.scdi.org.uk/.

Scottish Women in Business is part of the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB), which in turn is a member of SCDI, and so you can attend SCDI events as a representative of ASB. Similar arrangements apply as for the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, that is, you have to register for attendance using ASB as your business name.

Everywoman is an online network, which also provides training, resources and support services for women in business throughout the UK. Each year they hold a national conference in London and a Scottish conference.

 logo for Business Gateway

Business Gateway runs a network for women starting up in business, called Women in Business. This network usually meets monthly, and is aimed at meeting the needs of women thinking about starting their own business (pre-start-up), just starting up or in the early years of running their own business. Events are a mix of networking and education, covering topics relevant to new and emerging businesses. Once businesses are established, they are usually encouraged to "graduate" to ASB member organisations like Scottish Women in Business. You'll find links to the network on Business Gateway's Women In Business pages.
