Scottish Women in Business is affiliated to the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB). Created in 1995, the ASB is an organisation for all business and professional women throughout Scotland. SWIB members can register as ASB members at no cost, since this is funded through our affiliation.
The ASB supports members through sharing ideas, contacts, affiliations and events. Its main events are always worth attending: the Work–Life Balance weekend and the ASB Conference & Awards Dinner. The annual awards recognise women who have contributed to business and/or society. Some awards are only open to ASB members.
The ASB also works with organisations such as Women's Enterprise Scotland and the Scottish Women’s Convention to raise awareness of issues and challenges facing women in their business and home lives.
Scottish Women in Business is a member of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce. This means that our members can sign up for Chamber events, training and so on at member rates (this is usually a considerable saving).
If you would like to attend a Chamber event, please sign into your SWIB account for details of how to book.
The Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI) is an independent membership network which strengthens Scotland's competitiveness by influencing Government policies to encourage sustainable economic prosperity. It holds regular events in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
Thanks to SWIB's affiliation to the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB), you can attend SCDI events as a representative of ASB. If you would like to attend an SCDI event, please sign into your SWIB account for details of how to book.
