Unsure about the pricing strategy that's right for your business? This was the ideal training session. This session covered a range of pricing issues and use real examples to demonstrate how the right approach to pricing can strengthen your business.
The workshop was delivered by Gloria Murray who has been an accountant for over 20 years, specialising in micro and small businesses mainly in the service and professional sectors. Motivated to provide businesses with a service that is much more than annual accounts and tax returns, Gloria set up her practice to add value to business owners by providing advice to help them grow their businesses.
Pricing is one of the big issues Gloria deals with regularly, helping clients to get it right so they can improve their results, and the session provided examples of what other business owners have done to improve their pricing. It also covered:
- the psychology of pricing and how this can work against you as well as for you
- when to charge different customers different prices and how to do it
- why it is important to get your pricing right and the effect it can have on your profit
- what you can do to stop comparisons with your competition in terms of price

I really enjoyed this event. The venue was great - centrally located, a good sized room and some nice sandwiches. The format was ideal for me - a bit of time at the start to meet and get to know everyone and then really useful and informative training. Gloria Murray was a great trainer - she was good at getting us involved and relating what she was telling us to our own business. It has already given me much more confidence in pricing my work and showing clients the value of what I do. And there are plenty more ideas I'll be putting in to practice soon.
Really great event, fantastic speaker I was really impressed with her level of knowledge and she had a great style. The venue was very suitable and central. I just wish it had been slightly longer for the training section...
