2017 brought us the swib Celebrating Women Awards and one of the winners was Jenny McCreary. Jenny took home the Young Star award. This month, Jenny shared her story with us.
Jenny has bundles of energy, not surprising for an arty entrepreneur who started a nationwide business in her twenties. After graduating with a BA Honours in Fashion Business, she had various creative jobs and even a brief appearance on ITV's Take Me Out! When the recession caused the business she was working for to close, Jenny decided to take things into her own hands and started her own business Sew Confident. Her business has gone from strength to strength having expanded across the country, offering a variety of classes and now franchising. It is no wonder Jenny was recognised by swib last year and won the Young Star Award!

A particularly good event. The small touches to freshen up the format, like having the speaker at the end of the meal, work well I think. The speaker was particularly refreshing in her honesty and down to earth style. RB&G food was outstanding.
I thought the event was good, nice and relaxed, and a good first networking meeting. Great location, nice and accessible. Food was Okay, nothing special! I had an enjoyable evening overall, and hope to return :)
