June 9, 11:00am-11:45am

We are delighted to welcome Rachel McTavish to tell us about her Life in TV this June. Rachel will also be sharing her top tips on how to best present yourself live on video. With more and more going online and the demand to see people live be it on social or events - these tips are very much appreciated!

With over 20,000 hours of live TV broadcasting under her belt, Rachel McTavish is one of the UK’s most experienced broadcast journalists.

In the last 15 years Rachel has worked for ITV, BBC, FIVE, GMTV, STV, ITV London and a host of corporate and foreign broadcasters.

The result is that Rachel has a diverse range of credits from being on air and leading the ITV News channel’s coverage of the Twin Tower attacks on 11th September 2001 to playing a pantomime dame at Glasgow’s Pavilion Theatre for STV’s Five Thirty Show.

Her ability to find the appropriate tone to handle a broad range of stories confirmed her as a regular on Nick Ferrari’s Sony Award winning breakfast show on London’s LBC and as a stand in for comedian Fred MacAulay on his popular BBC Radio Show.

Rachel is an adept conference facilitator and awards host – regularly chairing events round the country for Business Women Scotland, Women in Finance and The Herald’s Diversity conference where her relaxed style not only puts a panel at ease but creates an engaging experience for the audience .

Rachel can currently be seen presenting the news on STV.

There will be a chance for a Q&A also.

Please book and we will send Zoom details the night prior
