La Bonne Auberge, Glasgow

March 12, 6:30pm-9:00pm

We can’t put it off any longer – we need to talk about Brexit. It has dominated politics – and the headlines – for months, and we are still no closer to knowing what it will look like, how it will work, or if it will even happen! Joining us in March, and ready to give us her take on things, is Clare English, a presenter and journalist who spent nearly three decades with the BBC and now works as a freelancer.

Clare was a reporter at Westminster in the mid-90s, when the first round of anti-European sentiment was causing trouble for the Conservative party. This was followed by a stint presenting PM on Radio 4, before returning to Scotland for the rest of her time with the BBC. Clare has a particular interest in identity, and will consider the question: how will our identity as Scots, Brits and/or Europeans be affected by Brexit?

We return to the wonderful La Bonne Auberge, where you will have the following options for dinner:-

Standard: fillet of sea bass with provencale vegetables and a basil dressing

Vegetarian: wild mushroom, leek and pearl barley risotto with grilled asparagus spears and roquette

followed by crisp meringue nest, forest fruits and strawberry ice cream

There will be a welcome drink on arrival to get you in the mood, with tea and coffee served afterwards.

Booking closes at 5pm on Friday 8th March 2019, so make sure you secure your place in plenty of time.
