La Bonne Auberge, Glasgow

March 12, 6:30pm-9:00pm

We couldn’t put it off any longer – we had to talk about Brexit! Our thought-provoking speaker was Clare English, a presenter and journalist who spent nearly three decades with the BBC and now works as a freelancer.

There was much discussion, both during her talk and afterwards over the delicous meal at La Bonne Auberge!

Feedback from those who attended included:

Nice size, and lovely people - as always.

I think this was particularly good, mainly for reasons of coincidence and happy accident rather than design! The timing, and therefore ability to have an ‘as
it happens’ commentary on what was happening with the Commons vote, gave the event a vitality.

I think the format and speaker benefited from the more informal and smaller setting. Lively discussions resulted. An excellent event.

I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a refreshing format, with discussion rather than a presentation.

Such a interesting evening with the talk and discussion following the vote. Made some more good connections. Thanks for the organisation.

Excellent speaker able to adapt to the very fluid situation regarding Brexit. Interesting discussions. Great venue and food
