March 25, 6:00pm-7:00pm

SWIB Wellbeing sessions are free sessions for all touching on subjects that may help to shape you and promote a healthy work life balance. Each month a guest company will host a 45 minute session.

This months guest host is Anita Douglas, Director of Leading Results.

We will start by establishing what we mean by emotional wellbeing at work, the link to resilience, workplace stress and mental health and the factors that affect wellbeing. We will learn our emotions, the role they play and identify when they are helpful and not helpful.

  • Defining stress and resilience
  • Exploring our zone of optimum performance (a reframe of stress)
  • The Threat, Drive and Safe brain – understanding our emotions and mental health
  • Identifying our ‘Threat’ triggers (the behaviour cycle – why we respond the way we do

Anita Douglas is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist. She is a founding director of Leading Results working with organisations small and large to develop management and leadership capability and confidence. Anita also heads up the Bouncebackability team who work with individuals and organisations in emotional and mental health and specialise in personal and organisational resilience. She lives in the Highlands of Scotland with her husband John. Together they have a small working Croft with sheep, Highland cows and chickens and four amazing Glamping pods that overlook the beautiful Loch Shin. In her spare time she loves nothing more than being outdoors walking or gardening.

This session is open to everyone so please do share.
