If you have any questions or comments about the terms or any aspect of the Website or what we do then please contact us.

Payments

If you wish to join, renew membership, book an event or make an offer to members, you should use the appropriate form on the Website. When you are satisfied that the details are correct, please click "Submit" or "Book places" as appropriate.

If you wish to purchase an item in the SWIB shop, you should add the item(s) to your shopping basket. For vouchers, you will be asked to indicate who should be sent the voucher and by what means (email or post). Vouchers expire one year after purchase. To purchase shop items, you need to proceed to checkout.

You may pay for any purchase on our Website using a SWIB voucher, online or by cheque; in the case of a cheque, you should send a copy of your form with the cheque to the address given.

All online payments are administered on our behalf by WorldPay. The WorldPay site is a secure site. You should complete the payment form with your personal details and credit card details. When you click on "Make Payment", your order will be sent to Scottish Women in Business. A message will appear on screen acknowledging this and showing the personal and booking details which you have provided to us. We suggest that you print this out and keep it for your records. Payment will be taken as soon as your credit or debit card details have been authorised.

Acceptance of your booking/application/offer will take place when we send you an email confirming this. For events, your place is NOT confirmed until payment is received. For payments by cheque, this means that your place is not guaranteed until the cheque is received. It must be received by the closing date and time. If it is not received by this time, your booking will be cancelled. Payments cannot be made at events.

Refunds

Events You can cancel an event booking without penalty, up to the time when booking for the event closes. No refunds can be made for cancellations after booking for an event has closed.

Membership You have 14 days from receipt of the confirmation email to cancel a membership application without penalty.

Vouchers You may obtain a refund for a voucher you have purchased at any time, unless some or all of the value of the voucher has already been redeemed against a purchase on our Website. In that case, no refund will be made. You may not obtain a refund for any voucher you have been given.

Other items Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2014, you have the right to cancel a purchase at any point from the time of ordering until fourteen working days after delivery/collection. All items must be returned in their original condition and packaging; we reserve the right to refuse returned items if they are not in their original condition. We will not refund the cost of returning goods.

Requesting your refund Except for events booked through Eventbrite, refunds should be requested using this form. Upon checking eligibility for a refund against our policy, Scottish Women in Business will arrange for the refund to be made based on the method of payment (e.g. card payments will be refunded onto the relevant card). For events booked through Eventbrite, refunds should be requested using Eventbrite. If the refund is approved by SWIB, the amount refunded will be the cost of the ticket minus Eventbrite’s fees (this is Eventbrite policy).

Timescales Refunds will be made within 14 days or when an item is returned.
