Results from SWIB's member survey 2013

Earlier this year we asked members to let us know their views on the benefits of membership – what benefits are useful and what could be improved?

We received an excellent response to this survey. You can find the full details on the findings, and what swib is doing next, here.

Some of the key points:

  • All of our members pointed to the usefulness of our networking at events, with a whopping 93% saying they had definitely found this useful. Great news!
  • 74% of members have found the member directory useful (which serves as a good reminder: are your details up to date?)
  • Member offers are considered possibly useful, but may have lacked visibility – we’ve changed that on our website and you can now find them here
  • 80% appreciate the vouchers which reward members for recommending swib
  • swib could be doing more to pass on information about Glasgow Chamber of Commerce events (which swib members can attend at member rates, as a representative of swib)

Members also provided a great many useful suggestions which we’re following up, and very helpful comments and observations. The following is typical of the feedback to our events – thank you so much!

“I enjoy coming to events to meet new and interesting people in great venues and enjoy good food with great banter. The speakers are always interesting and informative. I have made some business connections but more importantly some people I would now call friends.”

Thanks to all members for their time and helpful suggestions. We will feed back to you any further progress through this website, our social media channels and our newsletter. In the meantime if you have any questions on the survey please contact president@scottishwomeninbusiness.org.uk.

NOTE: One of the actions was to invite members to meet with the leaders of the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB) who shared their plans for the organisation and how swib members can be part of that. You can find out what was said and presented here.
