Updated Terms & Conditions

swib has updated its Payment terms and conditions to clarify when an event place is booked when paying by cheque.

As has always been the case, an event booking is not confirmed until payment is made. That means that a place booked by cheque will NOT be held until the cheque is received. For popular events which are nearly full, places that have not been paid for may be allocated by the booking system to those paying immediately.

Accordingly, the Terms & Conditions now state:

Acceptance of your booking/application/offer will take place when we send you an email confirming this. For events, your place is NOT confirmed until payment is received. For payments by cheque, this means that your place is not guaranteed until the cheque is received. It must be received by the closing date and time. If it is not received by this time, your booking will be cancelled. Payments cannot be made at events.

If you choose to pay by cheque for an event, you'll receive an email reminding you that your place is not guaranteed. Once the cheque has been received, you will receive an email confirming your booking. But... if the event reaches capacity before your cheque is received, you'll be advised that your place is no longer held.
