Events
Here you'll find the details of our forthcoming events. All events include a two-course meal with a welcome drink, unless otherwise stated. In order to come along, you do need to book a place so that we can plan the catering. If you come "on spec", the chances are you won't be able to join in, especially as several events have been fully booked.
Booking To book a place at a particular event, simply click the appropriate "Book Event" link for the event (for most events, there will be a link for members and a link for non-members). If you are bringing a non-member as a guest, just click one and then the other for both to be added to your "shopping cart".
Guests Non-members are welcome to come along to up to two SWIB events, paying at the non-member rate.
Costs Events cost £22 to attend for members and £27 for non-members. Special events may cost more - where this is the case, it will be announced in the listing below and in the newsletter. Remember that £1 of every attendee's payment is donated to our Charity of the Year.

April event - Edel Harris, CEO of Cornerstone

Description: For this event, our speaker is Edel Harris, chief executive of Cornerstone. Cornerstone is one of Scotland’s largest charitable organisations providing a wide range of health and social care services to people with disabilities and other support needs. Edel joined Cornerstone as Chief Executive in May 2008 having previously been Deputy Chief Executive of Aberdeen Foyer.
Edel will talk about
• her career journey from the police to the third sector
• juggling family and career
• why she loves leading one of the largest social enterprises in the country.
