All Reasonable Steps: Move beyond policies and create real cultural change with Dr Nina Burrowes

Workplace sexual harassment is not a new challenge, but the expectations placed on employers have changed dramatically. Traditional approaches such as policies, training and zero-tolerance statements are no longer enough on their own. Employers are now being asked a tougher question: how do you prevent harassment from happening in the first place?

Join us for an insightful webinar exploring All Reasonable Steps, the new book by psychologist and SWIB member, Dr Nina Burrowes. Drawing on more than 20 years of specialist expertise, Nina presents a fresh, psychology-based approach to prevention that focuses on people, relationships, power dynamics, culture and consent, not just compliance. Nina will be joined by SWIB Committee member, Marianne McJannett, who will lead the conversation and interview Nina on the book, and areas such as:

Why traditional prevention efforts often fail to create lasting change.
The psychological factors that drive harassment and prevent reporting.
How workplace cultures can unintentionally protect harmful behaviour.
Practical strategies to strengthen confidence, clarify expectations and enable early intervention.
How leaders, HR professionals and decision-makers can embed prevention into everyday workplace practice.

Who Should Attend?
HR leaders, people professionals, senior leaders, compliance specialists, wellbeing teams and anyone responsible for creating safer, more respectful workplace cultures, especially as the changes bring brought about by the Employment Rights Act 2025 come into force later this year.
