Line manager development
About me:
I’m an experienced and accredited (CIPD Chartered Fellow) facilitator and people consultant bringing a practical, evidence-based approach to developing line managers. And I do this in a warm, approachable way that helps others feel comfortable and understood.
With more than 30 years’ experience across hospitality, retail, healthcare, membership bodies, the third sector and recruitment, I’ve worked with organisations of all sizes - but I’m especially passionate about supporting charities and small employers that don’t have an in-house people team, or would like expert external support.
Who I work with:
?SMEs and third sector organisations, particularly those without a dedicated HR function or where internal people teams are focused on day-to-day operations.
?Line managers who need a confidence boost when dealing with tricky people issues.
?New managers unsure how to balance delivering results with caring for their team.
How I help:
I help both new and experienced line managers build skills and confidence through tailored workshops, followed by one-to-one support.
I do this by creating calm, safe spaces for open conversations and collaborative problem-solving - grounded in expertise in people management and HR processes.
Whether it’s navigating having difficult conversations, enhancing communication, or strengthening ways of working, I guide managers to achieve results for their teams and organisation - without sacrificing kindness or empathy.
