Got a question?

Let's see if we can answer it for you here!

How do I enter?

Go to our online Award Entry Form when applications open. You can fill it in either in full, or partially, and hit 'submit'. You can still make changes after submitting it. However, after the closing date and time, no further changes will be possible.

What are the categories?

They're all listed here. There is no restriction on the number of categories you may enter.

Can I enter the Spotlight Award?

No, individuals are nominated by Scottish Women in Business so it is not open to public entry. However, the Spotlight Award is open to a public vote. When voting opens, we'll provide the link here.

Can I enter the Spirit of SWIB Award?

No, this is only open to members of swib, nominated by fellow members and judged by a panel of swib past presidents. When nominations open, swib members will be informed by email.

What are the judges looking for?

Give careful thought to the criteria and examples provided in the category descriptions. Provide some evidence to support your case, for example, a link to a website or list people who can supply testimonials (or ask them to provide them for your entry). The judges are especially looking for unsung heroines, people not usually appreciated nor in the spotlight.

What are the rules?

You'll find everything you need to know in under Rules of Entry here.

Who can enter?

You don't have to be born in Scotland to enter but you do have to live and work here. It's free to enter but remember, with the exception of the Spotlight Award and the Spirit of SWIB Award, you must enter yourself. Nominations from others cannot be accepted. It is not obligatory to be a member of Scottish Women in Business to enter.

Everyone is welcome to purchase a ticket to our Awards Event whether or not they enter or win an award.

How will my entry be judged?

How much does it cost to enter?

When will the finalists be announced?
