SWIB's past Charities of the Year

swib's charity of the year for 2018-19 was Home-Start Glasgow South.

Home-Start Glasgow South is a family support charity striving to give young children the best possible start in life. They work with families to help them overcome issues including isolation, mental health difficulties, bereavement, family breakdown, addiction, physical ill-health and many others - anyone in fact, with young children who needs a little extra support. They’ve been supporting local families across the south of Glasgow for 17 years and have grown to become the largest Home-Start in Scotland and one of the largest in the UK.
During the year, swib raised £3024 (plus Gift Aid) for Home-Start Glasgow South by a variety of means, including the Christmas raffle, swib strolls and - of course - the £1 for each attendee at each event through the year.
