Your place!,
April 25, 12:00pm-2:00pm
Please join us for our first online speaker event of Q2 which is focussing on Leadership Trends.
Our speaker for April is Emma Soanes, Chief Executive of enterprise and financial education provider, Young Enterprise (YE) Scotland.
Emma’s working life started as a teenager working in social care, first as a volunteer then a Support Worker working with disabled adults and young people. In the (many, oh so many…..) years since then, Emma has developed and led services in learning disabilities, mental health, homelessness, employability and more.
Her leadership journey has been long, varied and not without challenge. Latterly she spent 7 years as CEO of Unity and most recently joined Young Enterprise Scotland as CEO in 2022. She has been a Board member at Glasgow Social Enterprise Network for four years. Emma believes in the positive impact of social enterprise and the vital role of enterprise education in raising aspirations for ALL young people. She is passionate about inclusion - without exceptions - and believes in the unique contribution that everyone has to make. Emma is a mum to one grown up, one pre-teen and one very needy dog.
Emma will reflect on her own journey, thinking about the young women in her organisation and their path ahead, but also the young people YES works with.
